Welcome to the Kirkwood Community College SBDC!

The Kirkwood SBDC had its beginnings as a branch of the University of Iowa Business Development Center in 1989. In 1992, the Kirkwood Small Business development Center became a full-fledged sub-center located at the New Business Center incubator.

The cooperative organization was designed to stimulate economic development and create jobs in eastern Iowa counties by locating, encouraging, educating, developing, and supporting potential entrepreneurs. The facility provides small business training, counseling, financial advice, and small business classes.
