The SBA will begin accepting proposals this week for funding to support economic development and job creation through its Regional Cluster Initiative.
This program is focused on accelerating small business growth and job creation through clusters—regional networks of organizations and businesses that grow through increased collaboration, efficiency and innovation. The clusters leverage and align a region’s economic, business and workforce assets to maximize economic strengths and enhance their ability to compete on a national and global scale.
Each cluster may apply for up to $600,000 in funding for economic development and job creation. Up to 15 projects across the country will be supported.
