 About the South Central IA SBDC

The South Central Iowa Small Business Development Center at Southwestern Community College opened November 1, 2006 The center provides services to entrepreneurial startup and existing small businesses. Workshops, seminars, and courses that address the needs of those interested in starting a business and existing small businesses are offered throughout the year, including QuickBooks I – The Basics, QuickBooks II, Understanding Financial Statements, and Smart Start.  Center Director, Dave McLaren, has expertise in value-added food marketing enterprises, niche and specialtiy food markets, and the food processing industry.
