The Deb Dalziel Woman Entrepreneur Achievement Award

This award is given annually to a woman entrepreneur who has significantly improved or changed her own personal situation, thus having an impact on others around her. The award was established in 1999 by America’s SBDC Iowa to help highlight the accomplishments of women entrepreneurs in Iowa. The purpose of the Deb Dalziel award is not only to honor Deb Dalziel, a long-time SBDC director and advocate of women entrepreneurs, but also to ensure that the groundwork is in place to assure women equal advantages in the business world. The Neal Smith Entrepreneur of the Year Award

This award is presented annually to an entrepreneur who has been in business a minimum of three years and has been significantly assisted by an America’s SBDC Iowa center. This is done to encourage Iowa’s entrepreneurs, recognizing them as the driving force behind Iowa’s economic growth, and to honor Neal Smith’s contributions to the SBDC program and Iowa’s small business community.
